Week 28

Almost forgot to take a picture this week, so he was already asleep!

Kaleb rolls all of the time now...but doesn't care to be on his belly for very long. Instead of "jogging" in his saucer, he is jumping now.

He tried a piece of pizza crust and did he cry when I took it away!

Week 27

Kaleb is grabbing for everything! Books, remotes, toys. He throws his toys off the edge of his saucer. He has started to "jog" in his saucer too! It is cute, it looks like he is jumping up and down, but if you look at his feet he is actually jogging.


He loves when I do not have my hair up..he grabs so gently at it and puts it on his face; when I bend down to change his diaper he laughs at it!

He made it the entire night on Thursday without waking! Back on schedule??

Kaleb loves to laugh! He started making this noise from his nose..it is silly (kind of sounds like "innguuh").

We have tooth #2...right next to the first (front lower right).

A Toof!

After weeks of knowing he has been "cutting a tooth"...we finally got proof on Friday!

After many tries, I was able to get a pictre of "it". "It" is located on the bottom and is the left of the "bottom front teeth".

Week 25 & 26~I am 6 Months Old Now!!

Kaleb was just fascinated with Jakob's balloon

Kaleb is becoming very vocal..shrieking and yelling and making this weird noise that would kill my throat! He is not afraid to let you (or Jake!) know if he doesn't like something being done to him (like Jake trying to give him whole milk out of a sippy cup!!).


His naps during the day are more spread out and he will stay awake for up to 5 hours at a time some days. Bed time is averaging 10:30 or 11 p.m., usually getting up around 8:30 a.m. (did have 2 days this week where he was up at 6:30 a.m.


He loves to sit up and can sit unattended for a while before plopping over. He o his mat playing and I noticed he was half way on his side..no more rolling over; he will probably just start running! He has started to jump up and down in his Exersaucer just like Jake did.


No teeth yet, but teething in progress! His gums are pretty bumpy.


He has tried all baby food including "beef" and "chicken"...ham and turkey is up next.


He grabs for everything that catches his eye. He loves the remote (I am trying to nip that habit right now...hahaha) and even tries to grab food (he has tried fruit pops and loves them!).


His 6 month appt. was rescheduled until the end of the months...no weight/height update yet!

Weeks 23 & 24

Big boy now sits in his high chair for meals and just loves it! It is close to a window, so he can look out and see what's going on or plays with toys on his tray while "suppy" is being prepared.

As of 5.26.07, he is eating Stage 2 baby food. Unlike Jake, he is not picky...doesn't particularly care for peaches, but he will at least eat them!

He is not quite in the habit of rolling over, but tries to turn himself sideways while on his back. He loves to be in a sitting position...he even went onto his belly last week! In his crib, he turned himself completely around.

I have still been getting up with him about twice a night either to nurse or change a "poo" diaper. The last two nights though, he has gone to bed around 10:30 and slept through until 7 a.m.

It has been hot the last couple of days and the air conditioners are not in yest, so I decided to put Kaleb in the shower with me on an "off" bath night to cool down. I started the shower up and he cried..but calmed down as soon as we got in. He laughed as I put him under the shower head.

I mentioned Kaleb loves to blow raspberries...

I am 5 months old!!

These photos were taken Saturday (a day shy of 5 mo)...K just hanging out.

The picture taken below was from Sunday while on his play mat. And guess what...on his belly, he rolled over to his back while he was on our bed. Yes only once, a fluke maybe, but it happened. Happy 5 months! Kaleb went to Jake's classmates birthday party...he loved watching the kids and enjoyed the cool breeze and watching the leaves on the trees. Hannah's Mom held him for a bit and then he looked at me and cried.

Tuesday, big brother decided he was going to bite me. When asked why, Jake couldn't explain it. I didn't cry! Just wait, I am almost as big as you!!

His sleeping schedule has been the same for the past couple of weeks. Eating about the same- I think I will introduce fruit tomorrow (he has had all stage 1 veggies). He nurses around 4 a.m. and won't want to eat again until around 9 a.m. He has been blowing lots of "raspberries" and shrieks too. He laughed a "ha ha" this weekend also. He constantly wiggles his feet still (like Daddy). He has been spending lots of time outside- Grammy brings his swing outside before it gets real warm and loves the wind hitting his face (he sticks his tongue out).

Weeks 20 & 21

Bebe getting big! Still happy! Kaleb's schedule is changing a bit in that he has been going down for his last nap after 7 pm, which moves his bed time to after 10 pm! We are adjusting though.

Kaleb has tried peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash. He enjoys them all (no surprise). He makes a ton of "mmm..mmmm....mmmm" noises while he eats and gets a bit upset if the food doesn't come fast enough. He has rice cereal for lunch and a veggie for dinner. Because he is on food, his belly has "slimmed" down a bit. He seems a lot longer too!

He loves to watch Todd and Jakob. He laughs so much at Jakob when he acts silly. What a little cuddle bug! He likes to nuzzle in my neck and also rests his head on your shoulder and plays shy.

I am 19 Weeks Old!!

Saturday we tried Kaleb on Rice Cereal. As you can see from the pictures, he really enjoyed it. He was wiggling his feet and hands while making "mmm...mmmm....mmmm" sounds. He did get upset when the food wasn't coming fast enough! He has 1 tbl. of cereal for dinner. Next week we will probably start introducing veggies!!


Kaleb has been sleeping longer at night, averaging 8-9 before waking up to eat.

He enjoys his new toys from Nana and Grammy. Jakob enjoys making Kaleb laugh...and he does a lot of it. Kaleb loves to watch Daddy and smiles. He likes to sit in the "big chair" like a big boy.

I almost forgot until now (as K yells in my ear..), does he have a little temper when he doesn't like something! He has started to throw himself backwards..bang his arm against his side..and "yell".

I am 18 Weeks Old!!

Yesterday Kaleb had his 4 month Well Baby check up. He gained exactly 4 lbs, so he weight is now 19 lbs. 11 ozs. (he is almost too big for the baby scale!); and he is 25" long. Dr. C gave us the go ahead to start him on baby food because he is so big (baby food actually has less calories than breast milk)- so I figure in the next few weeks I will introduce cereal. He had 3 shots, only crying for a bit (he was fussy at night for a bit and a little too today). Next. appt. is in June.

He sleeps so good at night, each week the stretches seem to be longer (last night he slept from 9 pm until 5:30 am!).

He grabs for all of his toys and most go into his mouth. He puts his hands together like he is praying, and them too go into his mouth! he loves to be sitting up and looking around. We bought him a "Bebe Pod" seat...he sat comfortably in it, but is was tight on his legs- so we took it back.

He loves to look at everyone (he is staring at me as I type), smile, and laugh. He spits all the time too! He crinkles his nose up and even makes and Elvis like face.

Here is the page I did from Wednesday...all the spots on his shirt are drool/spit stains.

Last night I had him on his belly on the couch and he scooted back about a foot and turned himself about 1/4 of the way!! He even positioned himself like he wanted to go forward to grab his toys. BIG BOY!

I am 17 Weeks Old!!

I took these pictures (along with others on our family page) this past Sunday morning while we were lounging in bed. I love black and white...my favorite pictures are the close up of his face and the one of him on his belly.

Things have been good! Kaleb loves to see what is going on. It is getting difficult for me to nurse him while I am on the computer..he always has to turn and look at the screen. He loves to watch people, especially when they act silly and say "BOO!" in his face.

I am surprised it has taken this long, but he is getting used to the camera in his face..he is starting to smile when I am ready to shoot!

Kaleb's sleep patterns are about the same, but the past week he has been waking to nurse about every 2 hours after the long 4 hour stretch.

This weekend he grabbed for one of his toys! He loves to hold on to just about anything that he can get into his chubby fingers and put it into his mouth. Which brings us to...the strong possibility that he is cutting a tooth. His bottom gum is so bumpy and there is a spot where it looks like it could be a tooth popping through, but it is hard to tell with those little calcium deposits (I think that is what they are called). He has been fussy on/off the past couple of days.

At some point this week I will post his "official" 17 week pics I took tonight.

He babbles quite a bit...the whole type I was typing this he was making sounds like "a boo phwert". It's cute.

Friday he will be months old!!

I am 16 Weeks Old!!

Here is the picture I was supposed to add last week....give you an idea of what it's been like around here?!

Pictures from this week, the picture in the middle is from today. Todd's buddy from work bought Kaleb a cute lion hat/mitten set from Old Navy (pic on left). He tried so hard to wiggle it off...guess he will be like Jake and not care for hats until he is older).

Things are about the same. Kaleb did sleep 8 hours the other night! He loves to look in your eyes and hold a conversation with you..it's cute. Last night he was laughing so hard because I was going "BOO!" and popping up from behind the chair. He has stopped peeing on me at bath time and has moved on to pooping through his outfit on almost a daily basis (almost always with my Mom). He was in his swing the other day and started fussing, so I go over, he lifts his head to look at me and gave me the biggest smile *melt*.

I am 15 Weeks Old!! {Wednesday}

Kaleb has a new best friend..his hands. They are in his mouth a lot, and he is not always hungry. He chews on his fists and like to suck his pointer finger. He is holding onto toys and bringing them to his mouth. Will he cut teeth before Jakob did (he was 6 months old)? He has started to out grow some of his 3-6 month clothes length wise. He is sleeping the same, and eating the same as well. He has been laughing a lot too! He was sitting on my lap Sunday with just a diaper on (the less clothes he has on the better!) watching Todd fold laundry and just started laughing hysterically (for quite a bit even)! It was the cutest thing.

Here is a video of him from today. All of the noises like grunts and sounds like a stuffy nose are from him...they are Kaleb noises.

I am 14 weeks old!!

Kaleb is very ticklish, especially around his chest bone! I love to hear him laugh. He loves to be entertained by big brother, especially when he sings and dances for him. He has started to suck his pointer finger! Not too much new as far as eating/sleeping habits- still eating and sleeping well! He has peed on me the last two times he has had a bath!! The signs we have hanging on the jelly cabinet seem to catch his eye...maybe he will love road signs like Jake?

He enjoyed some time outside in the fresh air today...I will probably post a picture on our page later.

I am 13 weeks old!!

Kaleb has been pulling himself forward into sitting position and pulling himself up off of you while he lays on his side while on you. When he doesn't want his bottle or binky, he will put his hand by his mouth and pull them away. He has been focusing on the TV, so we put on Sesame Street for him; he watches us while we move about and he loves watching Jakob. During bath time, he loves when you sprinkle water on his belly. He gets startled easily- I bumped his chair the other day while he was watching Daddy play a video game...arms come flying out and he screamed for like 10 minutes!! He laughs (it is so cute!) when I brush my hair/pony tail around his face. He still continues to sleep good (now if we can get Jake to sleep past 5:30 a.m.!!)! If you notice in the top picture, he is holding his burp cloth..it's his new friend.
